@andrewkrolikiewicz6522 Modern warfare is a nightmare for humans. You get blown up by something from behind the Horizon and even in fire fights on rifle range, you often just blindly shoot in some direction. Modern weaponry makes it more luck than anything else if you survive, since even a solid wall won't protect you. Of course NATO is used to fight peopel who barely got more than a rifle and mortar here and there. A very different scenario. Still not without danger, but absolutely not compareable. This war (like pretty much all wars...) should never even have started 2014. The illegal coup was one thing, but to not only accept but push that coup regime to mass murder to start a proxy war against Russia, was simply as insane as disgusting.

The problem is, that people got wrong expectations. Russia's goal is to a) free the Donbass, b) destoy the military power of the coup regime Ukraine and C) get rid of the Nazis (at least in their position of power). While you can argue, that a is about territory, it is something you gonna reach anyway when you take care of b and c. There is simply no reason for any big push. At start it was necessary to secure as much as possible, but as soon as the build up defense lines were met, this couldn't go on like that (and of course there had always been the hope, that the Nazis today are a bit smarter than the Nazis 194x - well, they aren't). Why take an increase risk, when the enemy is so nice to create a shooting range for you? To not take that gift would just help the enemy and increase your own losses. Russia IS in the offensive. Constantly. The offensive to reach goal B and C. That they don't move much for this doesn't matter. We aren't in medieval times, where you have to send your spearmen and knights in to fight the enemy mano a mano.

Are there analyste really that dumb or is that just for show? The idea alone "yeah, we just attack from five poinst and hope for that best that one makes it." Yeah, sure... They talk about it as if this is some kind of castle siege about getting into the castle to let down the bridge, like in one of those knight movies.

@thomasgerber1472 The East Ukrainians fight for their home, those who are now saved by Russia. The Banderas Nazis are NATO puppets, even though they might slaughter for their usual racism.

@thomasgerber1472 Because the Nazis then - just like today - are all about genocide. It's not like the Soviet Union had any CHOICE to stop. The Nazis came to slaughter ALL slavs. Poland does not seem to get, tha the Soviet Union/Russia and their gigantic sacrifice to defeat the Nazis is the SOLE reason they exist today. Us germans would have killed all of them. That was our thing in that times. And for that reason US fascists kept most of our Nazis well paid and in power, even in NATO itself and also supported the Banderas Nazis of Ukraine, because slaughtering slavs and wanting to destroy Russia, the by far richest country on this planet, that's just awesome, when you want to get your bloody claws on these mountains of wealth.

@rambonatorrrr6694 Kid, the regime now in place is the puppet regime, installed by the USA in place of the democractic elected government that traded just fine with west and east alike. NATO didn't like that, it wanted to have a western puppet regime and since those annoying Ukrainians, especially in the east and south, did not go along with it, we did our usual bloody regime change. And when the people in Ukraine east and south did not like that, we - as usual - told our puppet to just kill them. That's nothing new by the way. We do this since pretty much centuries world wide. That's our thing. We are monsters.

@J_Madison Korean War? Korean war was a brutal genocide against North Korea with 30.000t of Napalm and hundreds thousands bombs - ON CITIES. And it again started with US fascism dividing a country by installing a brutal, mass murdering fascists, who slaughtede tenthousands of innocent people in the south BEFORE the war, all under US supervision. Not that anyonie cares - or that there are still 30.000 US soldiers right at the border of it. Imagine someone would have divide the USA, then tried to genocide the other half, then still waiting at the border of all that to finish it. Wonder how the USA would look like in that case, especially when you see how it went nuts about 9/11, what was nothing more but a little spark that flew back from the gigantic fires it had created in the middle east.
