I was one of the lucky ones, I guess. Definitely had some great memories from lifeguarding and swim lessons. Actually made most of my friends there instead of school. Bosses were firm at times but always respectful and taught me to thrive under pressure and think on my feet. And we’d get to overhear kids saying really funny shit.
