  1. This is a tricky one for me. This new NSX is the first car I remember reading about where every outlet who had driven it had vastly different opinions on it. Personally, I’ve definitely needed time to warm up to it. For context, the 911 made me a car guy. As I’ve grown up, I’ve appreciated more and more how carefully and steadily Porsche has evolved it over the years. This, by its very name (New Sports eXperimental) can’t be that. And I’m not saying that’s bad; it’s just not what I most easily appreciate. I still think Acura went too far out ahead of their skis with the tech. Granted, I’ve never driven one, but the setup just strikes me as too digital and software-centric. I’d be really curious what this car would be like in a RWD layout with just the rear electric motor and no front motors. I think that would go a long way in getting some natural steering feel back. Maybe some other automakers will approach mid-engine hybrids that way, though.
