In a weird way I really want to like this car. I’d love to appreciate this as one of the cool, off-the-beaten-path alternatives to the German options in this segment. Alas, I have a damn hard time doing that. I actually really like they way it looks and sounds, and I don’t take as much offense to the interior as some people do. But I wish that when this car had come out, that Infiniti had seen the ball the BMW dropped with the F30 3 Series and had tried to pick it back up while retaining some of the G37’s character. Give it the best steering feel in the segment and leave some rough edges to it like the engine noise. But what did we get? Steer-by-wire and a near-silent (standard, non-sport) exhaust lmao. Kills me to think of what this could have potentially been. But I’d easily go for a Stinger or G70 instead.
