  1. The Americans tried that once. It went badly for them. It needs to be solved by Africa itself. Like the EU, Africa needs to unite and become the United African States.

  2. Giving food is one thing. Creating technology to mitigate the drought is what's needed and the willingness of rich countries to donate that technology is what will matter to the Somalians and other African countries.

  4. Religion IS the problem. Just look at the USA. More unwanted babies, more wrecked lives, just more misery.

  5. Breakthrough, I think not. This will be a mechanism to rebuild after a disaster. It is a form of justice but a REAL breakthrough would be that all nations agree that Climate Change is real and has to be addressed NOW. That would be tremendous.
