  2. Europe isn't doing so well. Germany has had a record number of new infections, as did my country. Trump is probably right in that the moment you reopen, the virus will be back. This was also known in February, which is why people talked about 'flattening the curve' and not about halting the virus in its tracks with a hard lockdown.
