SiriusMined "No, he's clearly not dragged in the slightest." I don't think this is true. If you watch the video (at 0:08), there is a dark spot on the road about 10 meters in front of the car. The police officer doesn't move, but when he gets up (at 2:00), he's at that spot. Clearly he was dragged there. Btw, I think that if you listen carefully you can hear the engine already starts to roar before the police officer shoots. I don't know if he was alive when the car took off but I do think he pushed down on the pedal before he got shot.

Andi Keucher Do people often try to escape police after they're detained in Germany though? Also, it's easy to say that German police doesn't shoot people when they're not operating in a violent environment. Just to be clear though, I don't think this guy should have been shot. However, I also think that the driver did endanger the life of the police officer as well. The police officer was dragged with the car and he could just as easily have ended up under it.

alan30189 As I said earlier, we can see that he was dragged. If you look at 0:08 there is a dark spot 10 meters down the road. At 2:00 when he stands up he's at that spot. He didn't walk there so the only option is that he got dragged to that spot by the car.

John Wallace At 2:00 he's suddenly at the dark spot, the car that was in the distance is now right before him, the house that was in the distance is now also closer by. When he was talking with the driver there was a road with car and house at his front right, but now its behind him. He moved 10 meters, and you don't just "fall" such a distance.

TheGreatWaldoPepp If you listen to the clip you can hear by the sound of the motor that the driver pushed down on the pedal before he was shot. It's at 1:55. There is about 2 ms interval between both actions. Anyway, I replied to someone who claimed he didn't get dragged at all. I merely pointed out that that's clearly not the case.
