Comments by "Brand131" (@Brand131) on "Misgendering and deadnaming: Will this soon become illegal in Germany?" video.
I'm not sure if they are. The video says that "misgendering" isn't fineable offense, but then says that "disclosing someone's previously assigned gender without their consent" is. I can see a prosecutor argue that those two mean the same thing in practice.

@j377yb33n So you're saying that the comments this video claims to debunk are actually right then?

@j377yb33n Funny how you try to downplay this by saying that it is not even law yet. If legislation that the government proposes for becoming law is not the right time to discus it, then when is? As for the example you give here as a "reasonable" violation that you think this law covers: it sounds to me like a way for shutting down for example dissent over men competing in women's sports. Anyway, I was more thinking of the situation where someone who just does not buy into the whole gender ideology-thing is being forcefully compelled to play along. Samantha might think she's a man with the name Simon, but I might not. And when I then talk to my other neighbor, who is under the impression that Simon is a he, and I keep referring to this person as a her and Samantha, and maybe when asked why, I clarify this, am I then "disclosing the previous gender" and by doing so violate this law?
