  1. peabase What makes you think he isn't grateful? I'm not sure if he's motivated by this narrative you mention, but from a political point of view, I'm sure any shrewd politician welcomes an opportunity to rally some public support at the expense of an inconsequential foreign entity.

  3. peabase "not any time soon"? How about, never? And how would the amount of subscribers a phone company has somewhere else matter even remotely to a country? Why would you even think this number is the equivalent to a country's population? Orange is just a telecom provider, there are a dime a dozen of these.

  4. peabase It allows him to score some easy political points. I'm sure Israel in general wouldn't want this to become a trend either. However, the telecom market is too competitive for this move by Orange to be anything more than a  temporary nuisance to consumers.
