  1. People are so petty here. Geographically, the country encompasses the old Macedonia, so just let them call themselves that if it makes them happy. Macedonia also rolls easier of the tongue than "Northern Macedonia", so everyone wins.

  2. Maria Papagiannidi -- I think that's a very unlikely scenario. A country that would be in NATO and the EU won't and can't annex foreign territory of another NATO/EU country. And if by political means, you ask for a formal recognition of what they consider their territory as a prerequisite.
