  2. Saeivgc -- You don't know what corruption is. Paying someone to not disclose something is common and legal. Just google 'non-disclosure agreement'.

  3. @akingtoddd -- Maybe he lied because he didn't want to upset his wife and ruin his marriage? Seems like a perfectly valid reason to me. As for lacking moral values, if he was some sort of bible thumping Christian, then maybe that would be relevant.
