  1. DC says he will call a referendum if he wins the next election anyway, which most likely means the UK will exit the EU. And if somehow labour, maybe with Libdem support, win the next election, there most likely won't be a referendum. With that in mind, I don't see why he expects the rest of Europe to throw him a bone. What use is it to cater to someone's wishes who in a few years won't be there any more?
