That would mean that in 5 months, Russia has lost more soldiers than the US has in the Vietnam war, Gulf war of 91, the Iraq war and the war in Afghanistan, combined.

@ArnoldSig After reading up on this, it seems the pentagon actually meant deaths and wounded, which is still bad but a little bit less disastrous.

@soulflame799 The US didn't lose all those wars, but that has nothing to do with what I said. I made the comparison to show the scale of these losses. Russia is well on its way of eclipsing every post-WW2 war the US has been involved in, and for what? To counter NATO? The West is now just sitting back and watching them flounder and throw away a generation of young men.

@soulflame799 You list a lot of what appears to be grievances, but they don't have anything to do with what I said. If the US occupies Europe, that the US is afraid of Russia, that Putin is really a good guy who got scorned etc, it's all irrelevant. As for Ukraine losing soldiers too, this is true, but it does not make Russia's losses any less.

@soulflame799 Not that it matters, but just to take away a misconception that you appear to have: I am European and I also live in Europe. It's not that I find what you say irrelevant, but it is irrelevant to my original comment. I like to stay on topic, else you end up arguing without end.
