Because that's not what happened. They were at the right place. They did announce themselves. And the residents weren't asleep. Brianna Taylor got killed because she was standing next to her boyfriend while he was shooting at the police.

@dmcr9525 That they were at the wrong address (and were after the wrong person) is a claim the family's lawyer made, but it's just incorrect. Both Brianna's name and her address are on the search warrant.
