I'm afraid Russia's logistics has problems when you have to unload the train and start using lorries- there are not enough, as you write, they aren't properly maintenaned and need parts themselves. This is why(among others) Russian troops withdrew from Kiyv/northern area.
Once Russian army are on Ukrainian territory, they have the same conditions (roads,bridges etc)
It has been some time UA do have long range artillery,
moreover, several HiMARSs, and hit fuel and ammo depots, railway lines or trains etc.
On the other hand, the modern cruise missiles of Russia look scarce.
The navy cannot operate on Black Sea any near the coast since sinking of Moskva...
