I mean I can agree with a lot definitely, I didn't know about the imperial system until my early 20's. The thing is with the football I know there are debates but in France they call it football they don't have a translation for it in French they use it the same way as the Brits. I grew up thinking fries were Belgian that's because I grew up in France and I grew up with the British way of saying it which is Chips which I know the US says it for potato fried base which I grew with crisps, but the French say chips the same way as Americans. The country of origin of fries is debatable too as with Hamburger because I always first knew it that it came from Germany. The French also don't have a translation for weekend because the translation like with football would be too long. Each country has their quirks with their languages So I think The US does got a lot of rep The gun culture I know not every citizen has a gun but I think it's worrying how easily accessible it is yet healthcare isn't as much. Invasions is one and its the most incarcerated country in the world. I think there are a lot of ironies with their ideologies freedom of speech, land of the free and opportunity. I mean in some states in America capital punishment still exists. Education I find questionable too. The only ways I can explain how the US is a young country is that it was founded by immigrants and it stole ideas from other countries and industrialised them. Also America has laid paid vacations than other countries so I read.

@Frank Bradley I think that's sort of true.

@Simae It a is no no but very long discussion to have.
1
@M.D. Carlin Yeah....
1
@RocketRooster True but might be more of a bigger deal in the States.
1
@Freya I mean it's kinda going elsewhere too now.
1
@KoolKatInTown I think that's a little complicated but I agree with the comment.
1
@freya8133 Probably a bigger thing in the US though.
1
@JamesDavy2009 I agree with the incarceration bit.

@TheAeroAvatar A young country with fundamental flaws.
1
@TheAeroAvatar Kind of.
1
@TheAeroAvatar I can see that.
1
@TheAeroAvatar Hmmm it's been going on for a while now.
1
@TheAeroAvatar Yeah only now.
1
@Clsire Wiley Well it is complicated.
1
@DwayneIsK1NG I mean yes America is very divided more so than other places maybe but each country has these problems.
1
@GREATLFG I think they were making a point.
1
@daniellewis2133 I think for World War 2 yes.
1
@Zero 089Z I think outsiders look at America but don't see the real picture I mean I would say America doesn't see the real picture of Europe in one way.
1
@pluto6383 I think that's the problem it's if the state is poor.

@pluto6383 I mean yeah I agree on some of the bits about the southern states because some there still do capital punishment. Though NYC did go through a crack epidemic during the 70’s and 80’s. It is quite complicated but my understanding of the country’s way of life is it’s the most incarcerated country in the world,healthcare there is really behind European ones. Education well colleges and universities are very expensive and people become in debt there from my understanding. School system well my understanding is it’s backwards. It’s a young country that became the most powerful nation by becoming capitalist by stealing ideas from other countries but that’s a bit of long discussion too to have I think, apart well it’s the most powerful because of the military system again number of places country has invaded during the Cold War.
1
@pluto6383 My understanding is it got more powerful after World War 2, but that’s the problem access to health should be a right not a privilege so it should be made public I mean that’s my argument though. I know it started to become powerful during the gold rush period but by that time It wasn’t the most powerful nation. Yes I do think it’s emphasis on federalism is made on US sure it’s not the only one that’s invaded countries but I think due to it having a strong military power it explains things.
1
@charles townshend yeah I agree with that.
