  14. @Paige Salas  When mentioning the run time that wasn't a strong point but the action sequences are overlong which I think they drag the narrative. The problem with Star Wars or fans is that fandom in particular is very complicated most grew up with the original trilogy first and it had an impact to them so if they criticised the latter sequels well that's normal. I think narratively the original trilogy excels more than the other trilogies of course the battle scenes are minimal but as you pointed out they were made 40 odd years and technology was still minimal despite the trilogy changing the history of film technology in a manner of speaking. It's also I think a generational thing if people prefer the prequels or sequels or have never seen a Star Wars film before them however one looks at it. I agree also that the prequels have better battles technically I think they excel more on that aspect than OT but story wise I think they are flawed especially with dialogue. The sequel trilogy I think is problematic for different reasons. No film is perfect yes The original is nowhere as perfect for other reasons too.
