@philiprice7875 Actually if you know the real story he didn’t kill anyone, the film exaggerated many things he’s not proud that he smuggled in and out of Turkey actually 3 times which the film only portrayed it as his first time obviously for legal reasons the book he’d written beforehand also it had to be the first time. He’s not even proud that he’s an escaped convinct he got very lucky. He’s regretted how the Turks were portrayed in the film the prison was not nice I’m sure but as I said the film exaggerated many things, he even went back to Turkey to apologise well actually the conference in Istanbul invited him there to express things about the Midnight Express affair. I’ve seen docs and saw many interviews about him and read his book dealing with the affair. Oliver Stone the writer of the film has regretted what he’d written but it’s possible he was angry that his passion project Platoon wasn’t picked up at the time. Alan Parker the director of the film who is now longer living was very adamant about his film he’s only regretted one thing.
