In Australia we have our version of medicare for all. You can go to a doctor and be bulk billed which means you don't have to pay. If you have a life threatening illness/injury, no problem (sic) it's covered. If you want you can get private health insurance to advance you up the list for elective surgery, but not at the expense of essential surgery. If you need life saving drugs then you get them at a greatly reduced price. Our system is not perfect, but rarely does anybody die or go bankrupt because of a lack of health cover or drug prices. at most elections the major parties debate who can improve our system the best. We pay for it through our taxes, but it is cheaper because because we don't have a profit motive involved.

@justanetizen6504 You are just making statements with out any evidence. I'm about to make a few statements but a least you can fact check me. We have no problems with the number of doctors, except in remote regions. Our system is not perfect, but nobody dies because of a lack of health insurance or drug prices. Every election (and we have one shortly) the major parties debate who can improve our system the best. We pay for it through our taxes, but it is cheaper because because we don't have a profit motive involved.

Please explain your thinking.

@justanetizen6504 Australians buy health care insurance (and many do, from not for profit insurance companies) for non life threatening treatments like physiotherapy, dental work, glasses, psychology etc. I can go to any doctor I wish. New mothers are not discharged early to my knowledge, though I am sure medical mistakes occur(perhaps you can help increase my knowledge), I can find no evidence the government subsidizes insurance companies whether not for profit or not.. Bureaucrats have no say it is all up medical professionals, unlike the executives of the US health insurance companies.

@justanetizen6504 You seem very sold on the present US health care system. Perhaps you won't mind to telling us what your present situation is via health care. You know, are you rich, do you work for an insurance company, are you covered if you get cancer, do need life saving drugs, or that you believe profit is above human lifes.

@justanetizen6504 Why are you so stridently against a health system that most of the US is in favour of?

@justanetizen6504 Still waiting for you to debunk my reply.

@justanetizen6504 Still waiting for you to debunk me on what is happening in my own country. Oh sorry, I didn't see the white flag.

@justanetizen6504 No problems. But I think you mean you are against it, while polls show the majority of Americans are for it. The reason the US doesn't have it is because corrupt politicians are being legally bribed by the health insurance companies.
