What sort of leftism are you talking about? Science?

If teachers were paid at the same rate as a baby sitter then Australia would be bankrupt. Imagine $20 or $30 an hour for each student.

@alanchilds1456 What is your evidence for such a strange claim?

@citizeneveryman6798 Have you ever been a teacher?

@citizeneveryman6798 The amount you pay pay teachers directly correlates with outcomes of the students. But what Republicans want is low wages for teachers and an uneducated population that will vote for them. Don't believe me, look at what happens in the poor red states. Poorly educated people continually voting against their own interests.

@citizeneveryman6798 You must be a conservative. Hating any change in society. Nice dodge about the red states.

@citizeneveryman6798 Dodging the issue again ah?

Able Danger I think you will find that the right wing mob are more into feelings over facts. They don't feel comfortable when science discovers new facts.

@Design_no Let's have a little think about it shall we? Who denies climate change? Who believes sexual preference is a choice? Who is more likely to believe that there was a world wide flood? Who is less likely to believe in evolution?

@Design_no You seem to missing from the conversation.

@ycageLehT Nobody owns science.

As John Stewart has just recently said "I call bullshit!" 3 weeks before the school year starts? Why do you think homosexuality and transgender is political?
1
@shannona6989 I think it is more about work load than any thing else. Teachers are expected to be able to respond to societal changes without being given extra time or money to do it.
1
@shannona6989 The major reason for the teacher shortage is burnout from a continually increased workload.
