The Queensland people overwhelming voted for the government that protected them from the virus. The same happened in WA. The Tasmanian election is still in the air. I expect that both the Vic and NSW governments could face the ramifications of their covid decisions, but the SA government will be returned. I don't in the slightest blame Morrison's government for banning overseas tourists, they had an exemplary record in protecting Australia from the virus. (It's a bit off the rails at the moment, but that's just a personal opinion) But I digress. Queensland's economy is very much dependent on foreign tourists. So closing the borders within Australia will have affected the economy just like every other state. Yet one remedy will not fix all problems. Towns like Cairns and Townsville which rely on foreign tourism need to seen and treated differently than other places in Australia. No government can address all issues effectively, but your ridicule demonstrates a lack of critical thinking

@jemzargo Oh did I hit a nerve? Palaszczuk and McGowan have been consistent with there approach, Morrison has too it's just that he doesn't always agree them. Which Guardian journalist are you referring to?
