  1. Why are Australia's fuel prices at record high level? A number of reasons. During the covid crisis fuel production decreased because demand was reduced. As we are coming out of it the demand has increased, yet fuel companies have not increased production. They know that limited production and increased demand will drive the prices up. The Russian invasion of Ukraine then drove up prices further. Governments all around the would are debating what to do about. But if you want to allocate blame then it is the fuel companies and Putin that should be you targets. Of course if all countries relied on their own green energy then the impacts would have been lessened.
