We agree again! But there is one simple answer. Change the laws so CEO's can be jailed. We won't see price gouging ever happen again.

@oldbloke204 What they are doing is fraud. Claiming lower prices after they artificially raised them. They incorporate the cost of fines into their business model, so they still come out ahead. Change the laws and then you will find that corporations suddenly become more user friendly.

@oldbloke204 They are committing fraud. Artificially rising prices and then reducing them while claiming they are saving you money. Their business model incorporates fines for their fraud so they still end up ahead. Change the law and it will cease immediately. All Australians will then be better off. Shouldn't that be goal of all governments?

@ThatGuy-ze5kk It is about market share. IGA can't demand the same prices from producers that the other two can.

@oldbloke204 Google 'corporations make money despite fines'. With supermarkets it is not about about what the market can bear, it is about what families have to give up to be able to eat. Unless you are a corporate executive I don't understand your point of view. With regard to property prices and rentals I would not be at all surprised it it was also due to corporate greed.

@ThatGuy-ze5kk You are missing the point. Coles and Woolies are being investigated for fraud, not how much they charge.

Pretty easy solution to corporate corruption. Change the laws so CEO's can be jailed. Problem solved.

@LuciferBlackisaCoward There is no evidence because CEO's of corporations aren't jailed for fraud. But if you commit the crime of fraud, what do you think would happen to you?
