  1.  Norlin Kalamazoo  Why is it that the red states are the poorest in the country? They need the tax money from the blue states to survive. Personally if I lived in an impoverished state that had voted for one party for decades, I would start to vote the other party. Wouldn't you?

  2.  @derekvolesky9887  Yes they were Democratic until the civil rights bill was signed. (But that's another discussion I am having with someone else about Republican racism.) Personally I would of thought 40-50 years would be far more than enough time to turn around an economy. After all Obama did it in less than eight years. What happened in Kansas when Republican economic principles were enforced in full swing. It went that bad that they eventually got the governor out of the country.
