Dice Doctor Why do you think the money will only be spent on social workers? Police are an integral part of protecting society, but they generally react to crime as opposed to preventing it. Surely a scheme to help prevent young people from getting into crime is well worth the effort. It could in fact help a broken society.

It is about early intervention, with programs, activities to divert kids away from crime, along with more money going into education, health and housing. Using other types of responders when police may not be needed. There are many ways to try decrease crime. It is not a one size fits all, each city, community should use a system that suits them.

Dice Doctor Welfare is certainly an investment. It gives people a chance to get back on their feet and become contributing members of society. It help reduces the crime rate. It costs more to keep someone in jail than it does to keep someone on welfare.
