  2. I think you, Johnathan, are too simplistic on the America First thinking. It is not inherently isolationist, but rejects “interventionism” as in the case of Iraq and Afghanistan where clear constrained outcomes were not defined. Ukraine “as long as it takes” is this interventionist thinking without victory. Many Americans would be won over if we’re supporting Ukraine victory for our own interests and better global trade/peace.
