You’re idea of very narrow view of democracy and institutions show a narrow mindedness with an inability to see social engagement of those who’ve been left out by elitists like you. The Left created the bipolar world. It has driven divisiveness and hatred for three decades getting worse. The DNC in the US made connections with CCP via the Liberation Road operation they operated with DNC for vote harvesting. The MOU DNC signed in 2018 with Communist Party USA tells the story of illiberal Democrat Party incorporating totalitarians Communists into the party. The reaction of many on the right was not effective or well focused, but what I hear here is elitism and narrow mindedness that sounds more like totalitarian ideology than real liberal democracy.

The vast difference between Great Briton, the EU and US Elitist “Leftists” is that they define democracy by “institutions” where the American Constitution defines the beginning point as “WE THE PEOPLE” with Natural and God given RIGHTS. This amounts to inherent human rights vs the leftist elitist view as rights conveyed via institutions. In the US we are suffering from too much institutionalization causing atrophy of natural God given rights. “We the people” is the power of the United States compared to inherent weakness institutionally defined rights. You are defining civil society institutionally, not from “We the people.” As I observe Ukraine and my Charitable Foundation has worked there it appears to me EU is surprised that Ukrainians as a people know more of “we the people,” than EU institutionalism. They have a sense of self sovereignty and individualism more akin to American Revolutionaries. Poland and many of the former Soviet republics understand more individualism and “we the people” than old Europe. You marvel at the tenacity and inventiveness of Ukrainians because a great many are truly free in their own minds. The American institutionalist are flabbergasted like General Millie, Austin and, yes, Biden and his state department. It amuses me to listen to truly free people who cannot be in Ukraine while you blather on with many guests as institutionalist elitist drones bound by they same. Ukraine, Baltic states and so on are shaking liberal institutions who don’t quite grasp the real trend. Technology is decentralizing and deconstructing many moribund institutions that vaguely understand freedom. Centralized control and disaggregation are going to shake up populations for the better. Totalitarians and authoritarians will wither because they don’t align with this evolution. Networks globally become we the people, not we the institutions. I agree with you at the missed opportunities to foster the rise of “we the people” in Iran among others. The agents of totalitarians are powerless ultimately against empowered people who understand their natural rights.
