Russians still keep the guy who created USSR in Red Square Mausoleum, and the main reason Putin started this war in 2014 is because he wanted to go down in history as the great Russian leader who resurrected USSR v2. All these arguments about history, NATO expansion, etc. are just BS Russian excuses and attempts to justify Russian imperial aggression in the 21st century.
