The invasion was already based on lies about denazification, demilitarization, protection of ethnic minorities in Ukraine. Margarita Simonyan: "Nobody can understand the goals of the war because they change depending on the situation." So they keep lying in the hope of divine assistance or extraordinary circumstances. The goal is to maintain the Putin system because all participants depend on it. Putin distributes Russia's wealth to his ass-kissers, and everyone wants to be part of it.
