@andrewoliver8930 Deify / honour whatever. Putting up a statue is ridiculous, and 'celebrating' something that doesn't need it, and makes us look stupid / weak for pander pandering to sexual politics. No wonder people aren't serving anymore

@andrewoliver8930 I suspect a big reason is the wokery and the fact the government hates them. Gestures and virtue signalling like this is part of the problem.

@andrewoliver8930 Again why? Its gesture politics, why are gays so special? Why does everything have to be about you? You make up less than 10% of the population but want to be over represented in everything!

@andrewoliver8930 No we shouldn't if it looks (and is) pandering to sexual identity politics! This makes us a laughing stock to our enemies, and as I said puts people off from joining (a woke institution). You may disagree, but I suspect many people are sick and tired of identity politics.

@andrewoliver8930 We should celebrate all vetrans and the country, not a single out a group based on their sexual peccadillos - their service yes, not their life styles. As I said identity politics is divisive and makes the army look woke and effeminate (not what you want for an army). It may jar with your ideology, I'm not homophobic btw, just a realist

@andrewoliver8930 Because gay people wern't allowed in till 2000 I belive!? You are ignoring all my points. The military (country in fact) shouldn't pander to identity politics, its divisve and makes us look weak / stupid.
