  2.  @matthewbenson9471  Nationhood transcends politics and political parties (relates to history, culture, and people). If you think your nation's flag is political, or have a problem with it, then chances are you an agent or supporter of another country, or are a communist (i.e. don't belive in national sovereignity)

  3.  @matthewbenson9471  Good point, I was thinking more along nation vs. Supra national entity lines! That said national flags, including the Union flag shouldn't be considerd political wrt to events like the proms, or national celebrations.

  4. ​ @chrisbriswrites None of the remoaners ever respond to sensible comparisons like this. They pretend its all about free speech, but I suspect they'd object if it wasn't a flag tbey liked.
