A religion that can change with the times, and redefine its doctrine to suite current political ideas isn't much of a religion. And folks wonder why Christianity is on the decline and Islam is on the rise

@devonbiker if Jesus came back today he'd realise he'd have his work cut out for him! More likely he'd ask dad to bring forth the 'end of days'!

@Thirdfish I'm an atheist so to me its all nonsense! However, the religion itself is has rules and guidance that makes less likely to be open to interpretation than Christianity. Islam cannot be reformed in the way Christianity can (has); its source code won't allow it. Hope that makes sense!?

@Thirdfish an ideology doesn't need to be true or rationale, it need only be consistent in its values and beliefs - something Islam is hard wired for via its source code

@adamcraig1468 yes, about man and woman, and what God said about the union between man and woman, and also the family. The CoE is ignoring scripture to appease modern day activists. These are fundamentals, and ignoring them makes a mockery of the religion.
