  1.  @andreaandrea6716  After the 1st World War, the Ottoman Empire collapsed. France and Britain were left looking after their old territories. Britian was stuck with a sectarian problem not of their making. When Israel declared independance, Britain was able step away. It was the arabs who invaded and stopped a Palistinian state from being formed. No one's perfect, but soley basing and blaming Britain for the problems issues is disingenuous. People seem to ignore the religious animosity that play a huge part I suspect.

  2. As always with history you need the context. The Britsh were goven the problem because of the Ottomans screwing up, they didn't want it!
