  34.  @geraldaird9390  Opinions aside, the EU Commission and Parliment are undemocratic, and give almost no democracy to an indivual (the demos). As more and more laws get taken away from member states, the less and less real democracy an individual has. Those who like freedom and democracy should be allowed to have that oppinion, those who want totalitarianism can have the EU. We shouldn't be forced to stay in by those who stand against democracy.

  41.  @johnmcmahon5145  the EU's intentions are to centralise more EU law from the member states, to eventually become a federation. This means voting for a poltical party whithn a member state becomes meaningless as manifestos have no influence. A MEP is not voted on a manifesto and can only review legislation developed by unelected officials. Look how ill prepared our current government is to govern as they were so used to the power being held by the EU. The EU is undemocratic as is and would become completely totalitarian were it to achieve its aims. No system is completely democratic but the EU is very undemocratic if you believe in people being soverign. You may not, you may prefer a full on dictatorship (perhaps one ypu see as benign?l... good for you.
