@rowboyto156 Not true. Quality and long-term reliability aren't even close now to what it was in the mid 90s. Especially Infiniti/higher-end Nissan.

@rowboyto156 Haha. No. You can cherry pick all you want, but I assure you I can tell you much worse from post-millenium products. Especially the design flaws and simply flat-out inferior body integrity/interior quality, etc. VQ35 had ridiculous issues and the 37 is still produced with its outdated design. The VK56 had ridiculous design flaws from the beginning. Even their new VR30 wasn't ironed out well and people were having issues. Nothing new. The VH45, VH41, and VK45 are all higher quality V8s (especially for the time). They were paired to higher quality drivetrains, bodies, interiors, and were from a time where Nissan was actually innovative. You won't see Nissan/Infiniti products making such a mark today.

@ford89ltd Whatever you say. More people had issues with the VQ35. My mother purchased a '96 Q45 new and never had any of those issues. Neighbor has a white '94 and has at least 300k on it by now.

@ford89ltd Yeah, of course they were better. The other guy was trying to say nothing has changed. Their engines are basically the only thing that haven't gone to complete shit yet.

It all started with Renault's "assistance".
