Sound restrictions are laughable.

@mgcharoudin Employees and home owners know exactly what they're getting themselves into by being next to tracks like these. Sound restrictions should be very lenient if they exist.

@mgcharoudin Got it. The ring is also further from most residential areas and is more widespread than many tracks so they should be lenient/non existent.

@mgcharoudin That's a separate topic (but definitely relevant) from what I said. Regardless, I'd love to know what environmental concerns they have at 131 versus 129 db measuring at that distance (directly next to track). Wildlife directly near the track would probably get equally as spooked at 110 versus 130. Measuring the level 75 yds away or so seems more effective.
