  1. matt For all the Golf variants except the R, they are made in Mexico for the north american market. They try to compete here with a low price of entry as well. Not a fan, personally. I would rather pay the bit extra to get them from the Wolfsburg factory and with more equipment.

  2. I believe for 2018 they went back to the 2.0 engine variant. Wonder the reason.
