  3. The smaller lanterns can easily use nearly odorless oil and even olive oil with small enough flat wicks. The heat produced is something alternatives can't match

  4. 27:40 "Cold air intake" is used to differentiate between performance filter types: Those which are basically open and ones that are enclosed and use the forced colder air from the outside as an OEM filter does. You should look into that. It is confusing because most OEM filters are indeed cold air filters. I would personally stick with the OEM design for filter efficacy

  5. These modern lanterns are not real Dietz lanterns. They just acquired the name. They are made terribly. Get a Feuerhand lantern made in Germany or a real vintage one in good condition. Some Japanese ones are also nice. Infinitely higher quality.
