  1. All the reasonable arguments, all the data, all the disasters results, are essentially evaded by the morally superior feeling virtual signaling people in power constantly forcing other people to pay more.

  2. Before I was a teenager I was helping to haul rocks at a nickel a piece, or if it took two kids to put the rock into a wheelbarrow that one was worth a quarter. I remember one rock we all helped put in the wheelbarrow that was worth a dollar. But on delivery it cracked in half and became two rock worth a quarter each. Many lessons were learned.
