  2. Critical race theory claims to reject the very foundations of classical liberalism, including legal reasoning such as evidence, presumption of innocence and equality under the law. It rejects Enlightenment reasoning, where all humans should be treated as moral agents pursuing their own values while respecting each other's individual rights. It also flatly rejects the neutral principles of constitutional law. It does this in just the first paragraph of its introduction.
