  2. One interesting note: Dr Tetsusya Fujita "escaped" both Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombing by luck. The two college he applied to as teenager was Hiroshima College Of High School Teacher and Meiji College Of Technology.. He entered the Meiji College due to his father's deathwish. Had he went to Hiroshima he would have been there when the Bomb dropped. The original target for the Nagasaki bombing was The Kokura Arsenal, a place less than 3 mile away from the college where Fujita was staying at the time. But due to weather complication the plane switched to the backup target (Nagasaki itself) 134 miles away from Fujita . He later studied the after effects of the atomic blast and the data he got there influenced his work on the Fujita Scale later.
