+Guilherme Dal molin Meh, they can get away with a lot in a PG13 live action movies these days. I've seen children being hanged to death (in a Disney movie of all places) , people being pulverised (along with blood mist) ,mutilation , decapitation and torture in PG 13 live action movies.

@smugalice6206 Sex is special.

+Ventura the Ace They are restriction (for example the camera cut away at the moment the executioner pull the lever in that hanging scene in that Disney movie) and you have to change the colour of the blood or filmed it at the distance .Funnily enough the biggest difference between R rated movies and PG 13 ones isn't in the violence, it in the amount of vulgar language and sex/suggestive scene( topless eg) and you will notice this soon enough when you watch enough of them. Of course the horror-slasher genre is an exception to this. You can show a lot of brutality in PG13 battle scene if you filmed it right (check the "Elwynn Forest Ambush" scene from Warcraft on youtube) or or torture scenes ( James Bond's torture scene from Casino Royale).

I think the irony is seeing that none of these nerds picked up that neither Saitama or Goku lived in Japan. I don't even think a countries knows as the US or Japan even existed in their worlds .

Too bad Saitama doesn't live in Japan.

+Natsu Redfox Doomday as depicted in this animation and pretty much all the comics would die to Saitama in one punch +red robin Saitama is from One Punch Man, a very good (some even say great ) series . Of course the joke is Saitama doesn't even live in Japan , i don't think "Japan" even existed in that series) .

@anonymousskunk They weren't ?

@anonymousskunk In every other stories, the human in ST movie would be the bad guys or even the antagonist .While in this movie they are our protagonist, we can't really say they are the good guys, that one is for sure.

@anonymousskunk Sure, if you like to vote for the NSDAP in the 1930s.

@yodieyuh He actually did both , though.

@yodieyuh The difference is our rats are not sapient being being invaded by an expansive empire. If we sudeen;st found out the rats are sapient, I will guarantee you the pushback against extermination would be a sight to behold. They actually point our several time the defects of the system such as the dissolution of democracy and humans rights. The reason why some don't notice them was because they actually presented them as" positives" , such as in Razak's speech at the beginning of the movie,. The satire is as thick in the one as Robocops. There is reason why they use Nazi imaginary for the Federation and the "news" , I mean just watch the propaganda news.

@yodieyuh I don't think most audience empathise with our humans protagonists either considering how shallow the characterisation was in this movie. I think that may have more to do with why so many people failed to notice the blatant satire despite how in the face they were, I mean only Helldiver series and Warhammer 40K managed to make the nature of the human governments in their setting more apparent. . I would disagree with term utopia here, this story was est in Dystopian setting , not a Utopian ones.

@yodieyuh Or they do good job as masking all teh failing . They showed us that crimes still exist, but with a far more questionable justice systems, that less well off people had to be citizens to survive and even pushback from people who doesn't want to be Citizens, they just don't have the power to do anything about it beside protest . As for political and military corruption as well as incompetence , we literally saw them here , the sequel movies just shows more of them. What was that famous butchered line by Ben Franklin? Remember: the movie we were were watching was supposed to be a satire of an over jingoistic propaganda movie . Ever watched CCP of DPRK propaganda in form of blockbuster movies ? Propaganda piece don't show the negative aspects on the society, but because this is satire of a propaganda movie, we saw those cracks Ironically many of the progressive aspects of the society you mentioned such as tolerant multicultural society and volunteer service was first raised in the 1959 Starship Trooper novel , and it was considered radical at that time.
