That is actually a myth. Human body doesn't just bloat like that in low pressure.

@DavidGuyton No, it was actually filmed in a studio on Arrakis. Right next to Kubrick's Apollo set.

@lordgarion514 So he didn't explode like in total recall. Thanks for the video evidence.

@brocksamson3282 It won't make your body blow up like in Total Recall. People have done experiments (as shown in the links this very thread ) on this.

@lordgarion514 Did you watched the movie? They literally did show another character died that way in the movies. While Arnold and Rachel Ticotin's character didn't die (the atmospheric pressure and oxygen levels on Mars quickly matches Earth's) , another charters (the main antagonist ) literally died by ridiculous bloating( search Cohaagen's death). As I said , research (including one in your links) have debunked the Total Recall deaths.

@brocksamson3282 Did you even watch your own link? He literally says (at 1:50) that you WILL not pop out ala Total Recall. Again we have experiments and even vacuum accidents (google NASA and Jim LeBlanc) that disproves the whole Total recall thing.

@brocksamson3282 Perchance you look in the mirror before accusing others of attacking points that were never made: I never claim that the sudden pressure discrepancy wouldn't cause you body to visibly bloat (I dare you quote the part where I ever did) . I said multiple time that what won't happen is the Total Recall effect. and that is all I said, Kindly, take some lesson of reading and comprehension if you still fail to grasp such simple and blatant concept.

@Gunni1972 While the structural integrity of the proposed hyperloop pods is still speculative at this stage, I would say that if the sudden breach is large enough to cause explosive decompression (the Jim LeBlanc incidents wasn't one) , what ever that cause the breach is the thing people should be worried about. instead of the vacuum.
