  1.  @james1seattle  Yeah, but to use that upper stage you have to hitch a ride with other payloads and obviously they will be issues with that. Suffice to say that dedicated smallsat launcher like Rocket Labs (provided they improve their launch cadence) will still take away market share from Space X even with that upper stage configuration.

  5. I remember watching the Beyond 2000 documentary about the DC-X . It was years before the accident that grounded the craft thought, I saw that incident in the news the day it happened .

  7. On the bright side , had Venturestar succedded , Space X and affordable space access for all would probably never comes to pass. Currently Space X can deliver payload to space much cheaper than Venturestar could.
