Potato came from America. They were't a major part of European expansion.
45
+stratmos The revolution also also improved crop yield by introducing better farming methods . The advancement in agriculture were more influential to Europes' rise than than a single crop
13
That wasn't the point of the video at all.
12
+stratmoss I thought the industrial revolution contributed towards that.
11
+Peter II There was also the plague (accidentally introduced by Europeans) that wiped out most of The American native population prior to mass European colonization of the Americas , by the time Eropean powers were seriously trying to colonise the Americas, most of the native population were already been wiped out by this plague.

It will, just not in the near future. These one here are a tad implementable in the meantime.

Don't worry . Jet fuel can't melt wooden trees.

@Timmie1995 There have been multiple independent studies which concluded that even with the high environmental impact of EV batteries, BEV asre still far less polluting that an equivalent ICE over both vehicles' lifetime. So yes the concern over BEV being more environmentally damaging than an ICEV have been debunked. Also , the idea that you need to change your EV batteries every few years is a ridiculous myth . For example Tesla have a warranty of 8 years ion their batteries and real life data shows that their batteries can last to around 20 years without significant degradation

+Chris Fodor And your contribution to this thread/conversation would be what exactly?
6
Actually both solar and hydro do produce CO2 (especially hydro).
6
+Pearce Aurigemma The solution CPG Grey suggested requires most if not all vehicles on the road be self-driving . How long do you think before that'll happen even if they're widely available after 2018?
5
+Chris Fodor Excuse me?
4
@jasonmulligan9091 The other negative is that you are still using fossil fuel.
3
+Mimu Mi They don't need to be intelligent just efficient and effective. Self driving vehicles are far more efficient and effective than the majority of human drivers.
2
+ninejot That would only be true if every man, woman and child both decided to own personal self driving cars and use them at the same time. Networked self driving cars would solve most of the causes for congestion.

+Chris Fodor Have we met ? This level of trolling seems familiar.

Same here, I can barely hear what he said.

The video never mention the environmental impact of the interstate highway systems itself. Such as carving and isolating habitats

Or recruit foreign pilots . 30,000 USD may not seems much to Americans but to someone from a country like Malaysia (1USD =4.1 MYR) this is huge some of money.
1
I wonder about Elon Musk's calendar..
1
@yogi8044 You obviously don't know much about Malaysian local politics at all. If all 61% of the country are are hardcore Islamist, PAS would have won the election here decades ago, yet they aren't even the most powerful opposition group (at time they were but the their influence ebbs and flows a lot ). Not even all moderate/practising Muslim are into PAS.

What about recycling the spent nuclear fuel? What are the challenges that facing such endeavour?

..If They would be homosexual or not.

This is why Russia is currently trying to encircle Ukrainians cities and town: they are trying to starve of Ukrainian own logistic capability. and force victory through attrition.

Which one? Macross , Mospeada or Southern Cross?
1
Are sure that was in the original Macross? I don't remember the humans actually doing all that. Granted , The Zentraedi was a constructed race and their creation was heavy with genetic manipulation , but those weren't deeply delved into until the Macross sequels (which were never adapted into Robotech, thankfully).
1
Humans in that series are implied to be long lost relative to the Zentraedi (the later series explore that further) , however humanity don't really resort to genetic manipulation within the Macross Saga that was adapted into Robotech. Even the Zentraedi don't do much of those considering that they are rather ignorant of some of their more advanced tech. The Aliens from the other two series (Mospeada and Sothern Cross) actually were more involved in genetic manipulation, especially The Invids. Those guys created Jurassic park and what not and even make true humanoid Invids.
1
I'm not sure how well versed you are into Macross lore, but the Zentraedi were always created to be fighters and nothing more. Their creators pretty much set their culture to be that and hence why they don't have any artisan or intellectual class, such role were relegated to other creations (such as the proto-humans). After the collapse of the grand civilisation thank to the creation of the Proto-Devlins ( the bad guys in later Macross series) the Zentradie were stuck in their role. Of course they still share genetic commonality with humanity (thank to their shared creation) and able to propagate and adopt humanity's culture.

LOL. Okay, then. I better be off too. Good Night.

Then there is also the CO2 and Methane (which is far more potent greenhouse gas) which are released form a hydro dam's reservoir lake.

I haven't watched the video yet, but does this mean Rwanda is becoming regional hub for air travel in Africa?
