The cops really didn't do anything wrong in the NFL arrest video. Yes, I'm serious .

@andreaspapadakis2602 He was uncooperative here and even disobeyed lawful order, so it isn't as cut and dry as you think .

@jmArtist-0475 Not necessarily true. That depends on what the orders are. For example the US Supreme Court ruled that a police officer can order a driver or passenger out of the vehicle in a traffic and you must comply with those lawful orders . Those SCOTUS ruling are Maryland v. Wilson and Pennsylvania v. Mimms .

@msfabulous1022 Was there a search on him prior to that arrest , though? Cop are legally allowed to search your body and even your vehicle once they had you in custody. This is why you should avoid circumstances that can get them to rightfully arrest you .

@teewhyemm1130 A police officer can use the excuse of not hearing you clearly enough to ask you to roll down your windows .If your windows are tinted or dark enough, they can even get away with the excuse of officer safety as they can't see your actions clearly enough. These are excuses that have been successfully used in court for officer to order you to roll down your window. While you don't legally necessarily have to roll down your window once you handed your drivers license and other papers , refusing to do so can make them escalate by ordering you to exit your vehicles, a lawful order that you must obey as deemed by the US Supreme Court . This is why you don't antagonise or argue you case on the road side with cops on traffic stops. In short comply and argues your case in court .

@andreaspapadakis2602 You are totally incorrect . The SCOTUS case of Pennsylvania v. Mimms and Maryland v. Wilson shows that you MUST get out of your vehicle if cops orders you to get out, there is no two way about it. As for probable cause, cop don't have the legal obligation to tell you probable cause to you during your traffic stop. The issue of probable cause instead only be raised in courts . As for search, cops can legally search you and your vehicle once you are arrested. This is why you don't argue or escalate a traffics stop regardless of who is in the right , all you need to do is comply and if the cops are in the wrong, nail them later through complaints and the judiciary system.

@MarkHenry-g9w It isn't about cowering, it about being sensible in a traffic stop.

@davidblankenship2720 Seriously? You don't know what The US Supreme Court is ? Cop scan call for reinforcements they suspected the subject of the stop to be uncooperative or may escalate. I've seen enough of US traffic stop gone wrong to know that these reinforcements are very necessary .

@davidblankenship2720 If you regularly watch traffic stop or even arrest video, you would know why backup is often necessary when the subject are uncooperative. Having enough personnel at hand can help prevent injuries, miscarriage of justice and even loss of life should the the situation escalates.

@davidblankenship2720 Did you misposted to the wrong thread or wrong person? None of what you just wrote have any relevance to anything I said or even to that NFL traffic stop.
