He also seem to think what he refer to as "cancel culture" and "woke" (most anti-woke can't even define what woke means ) as a negative thing. @eddiethatch5060 There are literally countless papers, research and essay out there that can out line the route that can be take and they can elucidate them far better than I could. But for starter we can start by calling out those social injustice when we see them, not tolerate people who commit or promotes them and most importantly not let blind tribalistic loyalty turn this into an "us vs them "issue whenever people who pointed out such injustice happens to be from "the other side" or the perp was "one of our own". The whole Identity politics and "culture wars" issue stem form that last part.

@Kainlarsen Burning book is already thing . Far right wingers have been burning book they don't like for decades now. That includes fiction like Harry Potter ( for being anti-Christian) and holy book of other religions (Qur'an eg). Now many far right are trying to ban history and science books on top of book they doesn't like because it hurts their feeling to be reminded of facts.

Other books that mentioned slavery in the south pre civil war and racial segregation during the Jim Crow era, science books that discuss science facts (climate change eg ) that they didn't like . @IntroducingMrLucci What several countries ? The only country that banned Maus for the Swastika was Russia (not exactly country you want to emulate) . Even Germany relented when the book was reclassified as serious historical research. As for the hundreds (yes, hundreds) of books that are bein banned including from popular author like James Patterson and Jodi Picoult .Even one that have live adaptation like “The Handmaid’s Tale" were not spared. Those are just the fictions.

@Erik J. Most of the protest following the murder of George Floyd's murder were peaceful and none of them can even remotely be called "race riots". While in some place the protest did escalated into actual riots those are few and far between . Case in , most of the 14K of people arrested during this period were for minor offences like alleged curfew violations or blocking a roadway and the total number of death from the entire country was only around 25 people. Also so called "break away from the country and to form new ones" never really happened (it was a myth) . In contrast January 6th was an attempt to deposed an lawfully elected President and illegally reinstate the loser of the 2020 election as dictator. That is a far bigger threat to the US than some peaceful protest against police brutality.
