  1.  @alanocarlossur9440  The Ukrainian alo use this a lot against Russian armoured columns .In those cases the vehicle were trapped because either tbot sides of the column were blocked by buildings and debris, mined or pre sighted by artillery . Drone surveillance make it even easier for artillery to pick off the trapped and disorganised survivors.

I heard a while back that the Iraqi army didn't even properly dug in their tanks .The US forces noticed that instead of placing the tanks in the ground and only exposing a small portion of the turret, they made mounds of dirt front of the tank . Of course in the relatively flat terrain that make them stand out even more.

  7.  @herptek  The problem is Ukraine have tanks and tanks crew trained to operate those specific tanks(not NATO tanks) . This isn't a "no tank" situation at all.
