  1. You guys are joking , right? Lithium is very plentiful , even current supply can easily support several hundred millions of normal cars without the need for new deposits. Lead type batteries are just simpler and cheaper to produce .

  2. +HillyBilly Highlander That is just not factually true : Around 70% of economically accessible Lithium is supplied by Argentina, Bolivia and Chile, not Afghanistan nor is it under the control of the Chinese or Taliban control. Of course we are just talking about the economically accessible reserve as they are plenty more out there ath is not worth it at this price range. Heck you can even extract Lithium from seawater or just recycle them from old batteries (Tesla is starting a program to recycle their batteries) .
