They did mentioned why they pulled him over: they ran the licenses plate and did not find a match.

@rapid13 I don't think you understand what "straw man " means.
2
@rapid13 That's not a strawman. He merely clarifying how such acts can be lawfully considered as "hindering" and may not be constitutionally protected . Again , none of that fits what constitutes a "strawman ". The OP literally said "filming " and "yelling" so he was perfectly on topic.
2
@rapid13 Ignore what? What he said was literally on topic, he didn't twist what you said nor did he was arguing against any points that were never discussed here. That is not a strawman in any way possible. Are you sure you really understand what the term means?
2
@SheriffOinko I have seen frauditors getting into officer face when they interfere with them doing their duty.
2
@melissasmess2773 I'm sure you can jerryrig any car no matter how old into a lake.
2
@rapid13 I suggest you look up what "straw man arguments " means.
1
@rapid13 Ok, I'll bite: What make you think his response was a straw man"? I didn't see him misrepresenting your position nor did he argue against points you didn't made.

@drtmi8789 How is "EV a joke?
1
In what way are they not "good cars"?
1
Unless the defense he was intending to use/raise was that of sovereign citizen in nature, I don't see why the judge would bar that line of argument.
1
Not excusing the judge but suspect the grandmother was being unruly and disruptive in court which lead to that contempt charge.
1
For a second there I thought you were talking about a frauditor (short for First Amendment Auditor) and possible sovereign citizen who called himself Afroman Audits.

Sharks have associations ?
1
Okay, not liking the project because it is a Chinese company is a red flag to me .
1
Because they assumed that she was ignorant and did that by mistake.
1
I think this is a response to those stupid and annoying Frauditors.
1
@jeffpiatt3879 Don't forget the Secret Service too.
1
No they're not. Gas car are more likely to catch fire than a BEV, especially when you're filling up at the gas station.
1
Why do I get the feelin that the trooper was racially profiling the defendant?
1
NOTE Ifa cops ordered you out of the vehicle, COMPLY . Penn v Mimms and Maryland v. Wilson mean that have the legal right to order people out of the vehicle even if they weren't going to arrest anyone or if they are unsure of the people inside the vehicle . Wrongful arrest and detansinemsnt can be settled in court, there is no need to bring risk of injury or death upon yourself by escalating considering we can' be certain of the level of competency of the cops handling your encounter or worse, them being bad cops.
1
That the excuse paparazzi and frauditors used to harass people in public.
1
@ironskald7 A lot of those frauditors are nothing but e-begging clout chaser that harass people for no reason.
1
The Renault is pronounced like Zoey.
1
@jhoughjr1 Yes, qualified immunity is the biggest example of this.
1
There are plenty of good reason to switch to EV. To be frank the US is lagging behind its peers in this department .
1
You are only right on the overpriced part.
1
Because it is unnecessary. Current BEV tech is good enough that if you own a home (not apartment ) , you will never need to go to charging station ever in your life . Charging station are still necessary for very long trips, though.
1
@papasquat355 That depends on on which BEV you are planning to buy. For example Tesla almost get the charging station thing sorted out in the US at the moment, but for vehicles using CCS (or worse CHAdeMO) , that is still a huge problem if you can't charge at home or need to go for a road trip. I expect that by the time that EV have penetrates the market enough that gov want to tax them, most available public (including those at malls or at apartment ) parking space would be equipped with at least a level 1 charger . I expect the charging fee would be a welcoming additional revenue for both sate and private entities.
1
This myth is factually false e. Multiple independent studies/research concluded that even in the worse case scenario where all the electricity needed to power a BEV cam solely from coal power plants (the most polluting power generation system) , the BEV is still far less polluting than an equivalents gas truck or car. I hope you would stop spreading this lie.
1
@samueldavila2156 What do you mean "You can't control them"?
1
The biggest challenge of EV adoption is the lack of standard for charging, not the the design of the battery itself. Non standardised engine, transmission and gas tanks didn't derail the mass adoption of ICE, I doubt something as trivial as battery standards will will do so the spread of EV.

The law arose because of First Amendment auditor . These people (commonly knowns as frauditors) insert themselves in any police interaction even when it doesn't involves them and interfere and harass police by shouting and throwing insult at them while the LEO was interacting with their original subject of the stop. Some even tries to shout unsolicited legal advice to subject, instructing them to not cooperate with LEO. Frauditors are belligerent , non cooperative and tries to escalate the interaction. It is suspected that these action is to generate views on their video uploads and streaming, and to have basis to sue the LEO for any aggravated reaction to their provocation.

At least Monsanto did a better job of restricting theri engineered organism to the designated area and followed the law on those matters. .
1
@Ministry_Of_Silly_Walks That actually wasn't why they sued him. What happened was the neighbour knew that his new hybrid crops was superior to the one his used to grow and decided to keep the resulting seed and replant his field with them multiple time despite Monsanto telling him to stop . They had to go to courts because he continuously refuses to comply . The farmer then spread this fake story about all this was an accident and Monsanto tried to bully him. Monsanto was legally and morally in the right in that case, surprisingly.
